Imagining Mantas as aeroplanes on an approach gave a different silhouette from the traditional manta ray designs, the re-design gives the creatures a sun-ray burst from which they appear, offering a more contemporary look. 우리는 폴리 백을 재활용된 크래프트 용지로 대체하였으며 지속 가능한 삼림 상품을 보장하기 위해 F.S.C. 승인을 받았습니다. 

심지어 후드집업은 포장이 없는 제품 자체로 전달됩니다. 또한 제품텍은 작은 종이 스티커로 교체하여 환경에 유해되는 포장을 최소화 시키려고 노력하고 있습니다. 

We are now all well aware of the problems that our environment is facing in regards to plastic pollution. About one trillion single-use plastic bags are used annually across the globe, many of them ending up in our oceans, choking wildlife and entering our food chain.

As part of our Mission 2020 initiative we have replaced our old poly bags with paper alternatives for our t-shirt ranges. These are made from recycled kraft paper and are F.S.C approved, ensuring sustainable forested goods. Our hoodies are now ‘naked’, with no unnecessary packaging. We’ve also replaced the traditional plastic kimble tag tie with a paper sticker.

 

보통 목화는 해충을 퇴치하기 위해 저항력이 있는 유전자 변형 씨앗으로 재배되기도 합니다.  하지만 시간이 흐르면서 저항력이 줄어들어 농약도 필요로 하게 되며, 이는 땅과 수질 오염의 원인이 되기도 합니다.  해양 동물들은 그 오염된 물로 인해 병들거나 죽게 되며, 인체에도 위험합니다.  또한 완제품에 남아 있는 이러한 화학 물질의 잔류물은 심각한 피부 알레르기를 일으킬 수 있습니다. 세계보건기구에 따르면 개발도상국에서는 매년 최대 2만 명이 살충제 중독으로 사망한다고 합니다. 

Regular cotton is often farmed from genetically modified seeds which have a resistance to fight off crop-eating bugs. However, over time the resistance dwindles and more pesticides are needed . Even though pesticides are sprayed on land, often they can make their way into water sources. Marine animals become sick or die from this contaminated water which can lead to the collapse of entire ecosystems. Aside from the environment, pesticides are also dangerous for the human body and the residue of these chemicals on finished products can cause serious skin allergies. According to the World Health Organisation up to 20,000 deaths each year are caused by pesticide poisoning in developing countries.

기존의 인쇄방식은 색이 선명하며 오랫동안 지속되는 장점이 있습니다. 이 인쇄 방식은 플라스티솔은 PVC 수지로 만들어졌으며 인체 건강에 유해할 가능성이 있는 프탈레이트를 함유할 수 있습니다. 프린트 후 청소하기 위해서는 복잡한 화학물질을 필요로 하는데, 이것의 폐수는 처리하기 어렵습니다. 이 과정 중 별다른 과정없이 방출될 경우 환경에 누적적인 위해를 초래할 수 있습니다.

우리가 사용하는 수성 잉크는 100% 생분해성 색소를 과정을 거쳐 만들어지며 유해하고 독성이 있는 화학물질이 없습니다. 이를 통해 우리 프린터는 세척과 폐기에 유해한 용제를 사용하지 않고도 설비를 세척할 수 있습니다. 수성 잉크의 품질과 사용 편의성이 지난 몇 년 동안 극적으로 개선되어 부드러운 촉감과 고품질의 밝은 색상을 선사할 수 있게 되었습니다.

또한 우리의 라이프제품들은 영국에 있는 우리 창고에서 손으로 인쇄되어 저탄소 제품이라고 할 수 있습니다. 

Traditional printing with plastisol inks has its benefits as they produce bright colours and last for ages. Plastisol is made from PVC resin and can contain phthalates which are potentially harmful to human health. These inks require complex chemicals to clean the screens, with the waste fluids from this being difficult to dispose of. If released into water systems during the printing and curing process, this can result in cumulative harm to the environment.

Water-based inks are made by suspending a 100% biodegradable pigment into a water base and are free from harmful, toxic chemicals. This allows our printers to wash their equipment without the use of harmful solvents for cleaning and disposal. The quality and ease-of-use of water-based inks has improved dramatically over the years to allow us to bring you high quality, bright colours along with a soft hand feel and excellent wash fastness.

Our garments are also hand printed close to our warehouse in the UK, reducing their carbon footprint.
